Dumba continues to progress in the minors December 31, 2014

The way Matt Dumba is playing in the AHL, it probably will not be long before he gets recalled by the Minnesota Wild. The 20-year-old defenseman has been one of the Iowa Wild’s best players of late, tallying three goals and eight assists in just 12 games played. Minnesota’s 7th overall pick in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft has also been solid in his own zone, registering a plus/minus rating of +4. Pitted against the opposition’s best players every night, Dumba has impressed the AHL coaching staff, and a promotion to the NHL seems within his grasp.
