Backes named 1st star of the week January 12, 2015

It should come as no surprise that St. Louis Blues captain David Backes was named the player of the week on Monday, after registering 8 points (five goals, three assists) in just three games played. The Blues’ centerman posted three successive multi-point efforts, highlighted by his 4-goal performance against Arizona on January 6^th.  It marked the second time in his career that he achieved the feat, and the first time in nine years that a player scored four successive goals in a game.
