Mrazek named first star in Red Wings’ romp March 16, 2015

Fresh off of being named the AHL’s Player of the Week on March 2nd, Petr Mrazek returned to the NHL with a bang yesterday, leading the Detroit Red Wings to a convincing, 5-1 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins. The Czech rising star turned aside 42 of the 43 shots he faced, en route to his 14th win of the season. The 23-year-old goaltender was most impressive on the penalty kill, where he stopped all 15 of the Penguins’ shots on net.
