Senators trade Lehner and Legwand to Sabres June 26, 2015
With the 2015 NHL Draft just hours away, the Buffalo Sabres acquired two pieces that should help them be more competitive in 2015-16, picking up goaltender Robin Lehner and center David Legwand from Ottawa in exchange for the 21st pick in this year’s draft. The Sabres filled a glaring need in nets with the acquisition of Lehner, an up-and-coming goaltender who has shown flashes of brilliance with the Senators. They also added veteran centerman David Legwand, an important addition to a young Sabres squad.
