Richards and Green sign on with Detroit July 06, 2015

The Detroit Red Wings came to terms with a pair of free agents on July 1^st, bringing aboard veterans Mike Green and Brad Richards.  Green, who is coming off his best offensive campaign since the 2009-10 season, signed a three-year, $18 million contract with the club. The defenseman tallied 10 goals and 35 assists last year, along with an impressive +15 plus/minus rating.

Richards, meanwhile, inked a one-year deal worth $3 million.  He was a vital component to the Chicago Blackhawks Stanley Cup run, registering 14 points (3 goals, 11 assists) in 23 playoff games.
