Winnik returns to the Leafs on two-year deal July 09, 2015

After being dealt at the trade deadline this past season, Daniel Winnik is back with the Toronto Maple Leafs, and excited to be a part of the team’s reshaping.  The Toronto-native feels like he can be a solid veteran presence on the squad, a hard-working forward that can set a good example for the younger, up-and-coming players.  The 30-year-old center set career-highs in assists (25) and points (34) in 79 games last year, splitting his time between the Leafs and Penguins.
