Konecny signs entry-level deal with Flyers July 24, 2015

First round pick Travis Konecny inked his first professional contract in July, signing an entry-level deal with the Philadelphia Flyers. The 18-year-old center played a pivotal role in the Ottawa 67’s resurgence this year, leading the team from last in 2013-14 to 4^th in the Eastern Conference in 2014-15. The London, Ontario-native was also the first ever recipient of the E.J. McGuire Award, presented to the draft-eligible player who best exemplifies a commitment to excellence through strength of character, competitiveness and athleticism.
