Nyquist signs contract extension with Detroit July 27, 2015

The Detroit Red Wings and Gustav Nyquist came to terms on a new contract earlier this month, with the offensive dynamo inking a four-year, $19 million US deal.  The 25-year-old forward has been one of the best players on the Red Wings squad over the past two seasons, leading the team in goals (55) during that period. The Red Wings drafted the Swedish-born rising star 121^st overall in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
