Penguins’ players excited by Kessel addition August 18, 2015
After struggling to score goals late in the season as well as in the playoffs in 2014-15, the Pittsburgh Penguins pulled the trigger on a trade this July, acquiring All-star sniper Phil Kessel. The move should pay immediate dividends for the Penguins’ offense, and players and coaches alike are excited for the upcoming campaign.
The Madison, Wisconsin-native has been a model of consistency since his breakout season in 08-09 where he tallied 36 goals in 70 games. The speedy winger has averaged 30 goals a year since then, and has not missed a game since 2009.
