Green makes his first on-ice appearance with new club September 04, 2015

Mike Green took to the ice at Joe Louis Arena for the first time on Friday, in what he hopes will be the beginning of a smooth transition with his new team. Acquired by the Red Wings via free agency, the offensive defenseman is looking forward to playing Detroit’s puck possession style. The 29-year-old native of Calgary, Alberta expects to be a fixture on the Wings power play, and will be paired with an up-and-coming star in Danny DeKeyser.
