Richards sees the Wings as a contender September 11, 2015

After watching the Detroit Red Wings lose to the Tampa Bay Lightning by the narrowest of margins in the 2015 NHL Playoffs, Brad Richards believes his new team has what it takes to get to the next level. Signed to a one-year deal this July, the 35-year-old center brings experience and a winning pedigree to Detroit’s lineup. The two-time Stanley Cup champion has recorded an impressive 104 points in 141 career playoff games, including 14 points (3 goals, 11 assists) in last season's Cup run with the Chicago Blackhawks.
