Petr Mrazek helps backstop Grand Rapids into West Finals May 22, 2013

It may not have been his flashiest performance of the playoffs, but Petr Mrazek was once again solid in nets for the Grand Rapids Griffins. Making his 11th consecutive start, the Detroit Red Wings prospect made 15 saves on 18 shots, guiding his team into the Western Conference Finals.

The native of Ostrava, Czech Republic, has been a steadying force between the pipes thus far, posting a goals against average of 2.19. He has also recorded 2 shutouts, one of which was a 24-save, series clinching performance against the Houston Aeros in the first round.

A 5th round selection by the Wings in the 2010 Entry Draft, The 21-year-old has already showcased his skills on the big stage, making two NHL starts this year. He was impressive in both those outings, giving up just 4 goals while posting a save percentage of .922.
