Abdelkader, Wings reach 7-year deal November 13, 2015
Justin Abdelkader and the Detroit Red Wings came to terms on a seven-year, $29.75 million contract extension on Thursday. The 28-year-old Muskegon, Michigan-native has had a steady progression since joining the Wings in 2009-10, culminating with his breakout campaign in 2014-15 where he registered career-highs in goals, assists and points.
