Kessel named 1st star in Pens’ romp March 28, 2016
Phil Kessel scored a goal and tallied five points overall on Saturday night, as the Pittsburgh Penguins steamrolled the Detroit Red Wings by a score of 7-2. The 28-year-old sniper turned provider in the win, registering career-highs in both assists (4) and points (5). The Wisconsin-native has now registered 50 points or more in 8 straight seasons. In his first campaign with the Pittsburgh Penguins, Kessel has 23 goals and 31 assists.
