Mrazek and Nyquist help guide Griffins to Calder Cup triumph June 20, 2013
Peter Mrazek made 24 saves and Gustav Nyquist added 2 assists, as the Grand Rapids Griffins claimed the Calder Cup with a game 6, 5-2 victory the Syracuse Crunch. After going up 3-0 in the series, the Griffins finally put it all together in their third attempt to close out the title. It was the organization’s first championship in their 17-year history.
