Hamhuis finds new home in Dallas July 06, 2016
Dan Hamhuis has decided to continue his career with the Dallas Stars. The 33-year-old defenseman signed a 2-year, $7.5 million contract on the first day of free agency last week. The veteran of 12 NHL seasons is known for his calmness and reliability on the blue line, and for his ability to log big minutes. The Smithers, British Columbia has never logged less than 21 minutes a game in his career. Hamhuis is best known for his three gold medal triumphs with Canada, once at the Sochi Olympics in 2014, and twice at the IIHF World Championships (2007, 2015).
