Hertl re-signs with Sharks July 07, 2016
The San Jose Sharks came to terms with Tomas Hertl on a new contract extension last week, signing the rising star to a two-year, $6 million deal. Drafted 17th overall in the 2012 NHL Draft, the product of Praha, Czech Republic had a breakout season in 2015-16, tallying career-highs in every major offensive category, including goals (21), assists (25), and points (46). The 22-year-old center carried his good form into the playoffs, where he registered 11 points (6 goals, 5 assists) in 20 games.
