Fleury has the character of a leader July 18, 2016
Despite having just turned 20 and still waiting to play his first NHL game, Haydn Fleury has already been pegged as a future leader for the Carolina Hurricanes. The big-bodied defenseman was a standout at this year’s development camp, showcasing the type of poise and determination that you would expect from an NHL veteran. The native of Carlyle, Saskatchewan had an excellent final season with the Red Deer Rebels of the WHL, tallying 12 goals and 29 assists in just 56 regular season games played.
