Red Wings lock up Mrazek on two-year deal July 27, 2016

Petr Mrazek and the Detroit Red Wings agreed to a two-year, $8 million contract extension on Wednesday. The 24-year-old Czech product solidified his role as the team’s number one goalie in 2015-16, registering career-bests in wins (27), goals against average (2.33) and save percentage (.921).  Mrazek has been a revelation since turning pro in 2012. After winning a Calder Cup with the Grand Rapids Griffins of the AHL in that first season, the 2010 5^th round pick has improved each and every year, culminating with his breakout campaign in 2015-16.
