Pietrangelo not shying away from potential captaincy August 02, 2016

With the recent departure of long-tenured captain David Backes, Alex Pietrangelo is more than ready to take the reins as the St. Louis Blues’ designated leader. An assistant captain since 2012, the 26-year-old native of King City, Ontario has been a rock on the Blues’ defense, averaging more than 25 minutes a game over the last four seasons. In 2015-16, Pietrangelo ranked 6^th in TOI/GP with 26:18, and 7^th in shifts/GP (30.9).
