Markstrom signs contract extension with Canucks August 05, 2016

Jacob Markstrom signed a 3-year contract extension with the Vancouver Canucks in July; a clear sign that the big-bodied goaltender is a part of the club’s long-term plans. The 26-year-old native of Gavle, Sweden had a breakthrough season in 2015-16, setting career-highs in wins (13) and starts (30). Markstrom was one of the best goalies in the American Hockey League in 2014-15, finishing second in GAA (1.88) and save percentage (.934).
