Richards looks back on fantastic career August 09, 2016
Brad Richards called quits on his professional hockey career this past July, retiring after 15 seasons in the NHL. The Murray Harbour-native has a lot of great memories to look back on, including two Stanley Cup triumphs at the beginning and tail end of his career. His shining achievement came in his Tampa Bay Lightning’s 2004 Stanley Cup run, where he was named the recipient of the Conn Smythe award. Drafted 64th overall in 1998, Richards would go on to average nearly a point per game for his career, tallying 932 points in 1,126 games.
