Tkachuk has all the tools to succeed in the NHL September 01, 2016

Matthew Tkachuk has high hopes for the upcoming 2016-17 NHL season, and based on his recent performances, it should come as no surprise if he sticks with his club out of training camp. Drafted 6th overall in the 2016 NHL Draft by the Calgary Flames, the 19-year-old is coming off a spectacular rookie season in the OHL. The Scottsdale, Arizona-native tallied 107 points in the regular season and 40 points in the playoffs, where he helped guide the London Knights to a league title.  He finished the season on a high note, scoring the winning goal for London in the Memorial Cup.

The son of former All-star winger Keith Tkachuk, Matthew possesses his father’s same rare combination of physicality and skill, and after his fantastic 2015-16 season, a winning pedigree to boot.
