After missing his chance at Olympic glory in 2014 due to a season-ending injury, the 2016 World Cup of Hockey represents Steven Stamkos’ big moment on the international scene, a chance to beat the best of the best in his sport. The 26-year-old sniper has been one of the top scorers in the game since his arrival in the NHL, tallying nearly a point per game (562 points in 569 games), including 312 goals. In 2015-16, the Markham-native registered 36 goals and 28 assists in 77 games.
