Karlsson becoming a bona fide leader September 06, 2016
Superstar defenseman Erik Karlsson is known for his exciting, up-tempo offensive style, but you can now add respected veteran to his impressive resume. The two-time Norris Trophy winner has matured quickly in 7 NHL seasons, so much so that he was named captain of the Ottawa Senators back in 2014. It probably comes as no surprise then, at his nomination of alternate captain for Team Sweden at the 2016 World Cup of Hockey. The 26-year-old will be expected to log big minutes for his country in the upcoming tournament, and be a leader on and off the ice.
