Hanzal scores in 1st pretournament match September 09, 2016

Martin Hanzal got on the scoresheet in Czech Republic’s first pretournament game of the World Cup of Hockey; a narrow, 4-3 loss to Russia. The 29-year-old Pisek-native was one of the best players for the Czech squad, registering a goal, 3 shots on net, five hits, and an impressive 70% faceoff win percentage.  The rangy centerman is coming off his best statistical season to date, tallying 41 points in 64 games for the Arizona Coyotes.
