Hornqvist shines versus Finland September 12, 2016

Patric Hornqvist was named the second star of the game on Saturday, as Sweden defeated Finland 6-3 in a World Cup of Hockey pre-tournament match.  The recently crowned Stanley Cup champion led his team in scoring, tallying 2 goals, 2 assists and a +4 rating. The upcoming tourney will be the Sollentuna-native’s 6th international appearance for Sweden, the last coming at the 2012 World Championships. His best showing on the international stage came in 2008, when he scored 6 goals in 9 games at the World Championships held in Halifax and Quebec City.
