Stamkos and Marchand lead Canada to victory September 28, 2016
Canada defeated Team Europe in Game 1 of the World Cup of Hockey best-of-3 final last night, and Steven Stamkos and Brad Marchand were front and center, both scoring in the win. Stamkos’ first goal of the tournament turned out to be the game-winner, and according to his teammates was long overdue. Marchand meanwhile notched his 4th of the tourney, and also added and assist for good measure. The recently re-signed Boston Bruin currently sits 2nd in WCH scoring, tallying 7 points (4 goals, 3 assists) in 5 games.
